Funding Opportunities
This section is designed to give you an idea of what kind of information about grant and fellowship opportunites you can get online. The funding opportunities shown here are provided as examples. They are taken from IRIS (Illinois Researcher Information), which is a large searchable database, available only through institutions (i.e., you must be on campus to access the database). Here in Atlanta, Georgia State University and Emory have subscriptions. This is by no means an exhaustive selection of what's out there for grants and fellowships! This is simply to show you what kind of information you can obtain online, what kind of opportunities are out there, and contact information for the funding institutions.
Please note that the deadlines are outdated! The IRIS pages here are not attached to the database; you need to go through GSU's website to get to the actual database. Again, these are examples and will be updated periodically.
